Two weeks ago we headed out of the capital and up into the mountains (very big hills?) and lakes of the Lake District and Cumbria. Having been wanting to jump on the film photography band wagon for some time now I decided to take the opportunity of being surrounded by ridiculously beautiful scenery (and I mean ridiculous) to get a few rolls of film under my belt. Given that it’s my first real attempt I’m pretty happy with the results. Hopefully I’ll be able to refine and hone it from here on out.
Not much to say on this one as I’d rather the imagery take focus, other than that we had a lovely time, it was the best way to see in the Autumn season (you wouldn’t believe the colours), and I would highly recommend a visit.
In case you’re interested I’ve linked the hotel we stayed at here, which was nestled up in the hills above Grasmere Village – famous for gingerbread and Wordsworth, a short drive (would strongly advise taking or renting a car) from Ambleside, Windemere, Hawkshead and more.
